Justin Martyr

Justin Martyr (c. 100 – 165 AD), was an early Christian apologist and theologian.
Justin Martyr's open letter to the Emperor, Antoninus Pius, shows how the Old Testament speaks of Christ, arguing that Christianity is simply the religion of the Hebrew Scriptures. He appeals for fair treatment of Christians since their beliefs are legitimate.
Justin Martyr's discussion with a Jewish man, Trypho, gives a unique window into the early Church's relationship with Judaism as well as their robustly Christ-centred reading of the Hebrew Scriptures.
